چکیده
|
We report on a novel type of spaser which is based on the nonlinear optical raman gain rather than stimulated emission. it consists of a plasmonic nanoantenna as the cavity and a highly raman-active diamond nanoparticle as the gain medium. ultrasmall mode volume accompanied by strong field enhancement and high raman gain enable raman spaser-based nanolasing. by using the model describing the oscillation of raman mode in micro/nanocavity and the calculations for plasmonic nanocavity characteristics, we theoretically study the dependency of spasing threshold on the structural parameters. we believe that our work will trigger the extensive studies of nonlinear optical spasers.
