نقدی بر دیدگاه جایگزینی تقوا به جای اخلاق در هندسۀ معارف دین

رابطۀ اخلاق با دین از دیرباز موضوع مباحثات فلسفی و الهیاتی بوده است. در سال‌های اخیر، این ایده که ناسازگاری اخلاق با دین واقعیت دارد، به اَشکال مختلفی مطرح شده و طرفدارانی پیدا کرده است. در این میان، عده‌ای دین را به نفع اخلاق تخطئه می‌کنند و عده‌ای دیگر اخلاق را از اعتبار ساقط و جانب دین را تقویت می‌کنند. در این نوشتار، دیدگاه یکی از طرفداران رویکرد اخیر که در رسانۀ ملی بازتاب داشته، مورد تحلیل انتقادی قرار گرفته است. ایدۀ اصلی «جایگزینی تقوا به جای اخلاق» است. پس از بررسی ابعاد مختلف این ایده، به برخی از مهم‌ترین کاستی‌های آن اشاره شده است. این کاستی‌ها بدین قرارند: ابتنای ایده بر درکی نابسنده از اخلاق، بی‌توجهی به مضامین قرآن و روایات شیعی ناظر به جایگاه ویژۀ اخلاق در دین، بی‌توجهی به لوازم منطقی بی‌اعتبارکردن اخلاق فطری و پیشادینی. جمع‌بندی نوشتار حاضر این است که تاکید بر ناسازگاری اخلاق و دین و پیشنهاد جایگزینی تقوا به جای اخلاق، نه‌تنها از منظر دینی قابل دفاع نیست؛ بلکه درنهایت به نفع دین‌داری جوانان نخواهد بود.

a critique of substituting morality with piety in the system of religious teachings

the relationship between morality and religion has long been a contentious issue in philosophy and theology. in recent years, the notion of inconsistency between morality and religion has gained traction, with advocates on both sides. some argue for morality over religion, while others dismiss morality in favor of reinforcing religious practice. this article critically examines the perspective of a proponent of the latter approach, which was reflected in irib and other major iranian official media. the central idea is the substitution of morality with piety (taqwa or fear of god). after analyzing various aspects of this concept, we highlight some of its major flaws, including its reliance on an inadequate conception of morality, neglect of themes within the quran and shiite hadiths regarding the importance of morality in religion, and disregard for the logical implications of invalidating innate and pre-religious morality. i conclude that emphasizing the inconsistency between morality and religion and proposing to replace morality with piety is not only untenable from a religious standpoint but also detrimental to attracting youths to religion.
