گونه‌شناسی تمثیلات در ‌باب پیوند نفس و بدن

مسئلۀ تبیین پیوند نفس و بدن از دیرباز در کانون ژرف‌اندیشی اندیشمندان بوده است. آن‌ها برای ایضاح این پیوند از تشبیهات و تمثیلات گوناگونی بهره ‌برده‌اند. هر‌یک از این تشبیهات معقول به محسوس بر مبانی و بنیان‌های فلسفی خاصی استوار شده‌اند. بر پایۀ جستجوی صورت‌گرفته و در پرتو روش تحلیلی، هشت‌گونه تشبیه اصلی پیرامون رابطۀ نفس و بدن استخراج شده: رابطۀ تدبیر و تصرف، رابطۀ سریان جسم لطیف در جسم کثیف، رابطۀ اصل و فرع، رابطۀ استعمال و استخدام، رابطۀ حالّ و محلّ، رابطۀ مبتنی بر شوق و عشق، رابطۀ تجلی و ظهور، رابطۀ معنا و لفظ. این پژوهش در پی آن‌ است تا تشبیهات و دیدگاه‌های اصلی در باب پیوند میان نفس و بدن را گونه‌شناسی کرده، بنیان‌ها و پیش‌فرض‌های نهفته در پس هریک را تحلیل نموده و پیامدها و لوازم آن‌ها را برجسته سازد. دیدگاه برگزیده به‌خاطر وجود مرجحات زبان‌شناختی از میان هشت دیدگاه مطرح، نظریۀ «لفظ و معنا» می‌باشد.

A Typology of Analogies for Soul - Body Relation

The problem of accounting for the relation between soul and body was for long a focus of intellectuals. To clarify the relation, a host of analogies were used. Each of these analogies of the intellectual to the sensory were grounded in certain philosophical foundations. Based on our survey and in light of the analytic method, eight types of analogy for the soulbody relation were extracted: the relation of management and manipulation; that of a fine body running in a coarse body; that of the origin and branches; that of deployment and utilization; that of immanence; a relation based on passion and love; the relation of manifestation; the relation of meaning and word. This research aims to provide a typology of the analogies for the soulbody relation, analyze the grounds and assumptions underlying each, and highlight their implications and consequences. The espoused view is that of “word and meaning” because of its linguistic advantages.
