اخلاق‌‌محوری یا باورمحوری؟ تحلیلی انتقادی از حکمت جهاد ابتدایی

این پژوهش در پی ‌تبیین و تحلیل حکمت جهاد ابتدایی است. پرسش اساسی این است که فلسفه یا حکمت جهاد ابتدایی در اندیشه اسلامی چیست؟ اندیشمندان در پاسخ به این مسئله سه نظریه را بیان کرده‌‌‌‌اند. برخی فلسفۀ جهاد ابتدایی را بر اساس حق طبیعی انسان تبیین کرده‌‌اند؛ برخی آن را بر اساس حق الهی و برخی دیگر آن را لازمۀ تعالی دین اسلام بر دیگر ادیان دانسته‌‌اند. این سه نگرش، در تبیین فلسفۀ جهاد ابتدایی «باور و اعتقاد» را محور قرار داده و هدف از جهاد ابتدایی را محو شرک و گسترش باور توحیدی و الهی دانسته‌‌اند. بررسی‌های این پژوهش که با روش تحلیلی و استنادی انجام پذیرفته است، نشان می‌دهد در کنار تبیین‌‌های سه‌‌گانه یادشده، می‌‌توان از تبیین چهارمی نیز سخن گفت. این تبیین چهارم که مختار نویسنده است، برخلاف سه رویکرد پیشین که ایدۀ شرک‌‌ستیزی و مقابله با باورهای غیرالهی را به عنوان حکمت جهاد ابتدایی مطرح می‌‌کنند، بر محور «رفتار و عمل» تمرکز داشته و فلسفۀ جهاد ابتدایی را مبارزه با بی‌‌اخلاقی‌‌ها و بدعهدی‌‌ها می‌‌داند.

Moralism or Doctrinism: A Critical Analysis of the Wisdom behind Primary Jihad

This paper seeks to account for, and analyze, the wisdom behind primary jihad (aljihād alibtidā’ī). The essential question is: what is the philosophy behind primary jihad in Islamic thought? In response to the problem, intellectuals have proposed three theories. Some people account for primary jihad in terms of human natural rights; others account for it in terms of the divine right; and still others consider it as an implication of the transcendence of Islam over other religions. These three accounts of the philosophy of primary jihad are centered on “beliefs and doctrines,” maintaining that primary jihad aims to obliterate polytheism and spread monotheism. In this paper, I deploy an analyticdocumentary method to show that, besides these accounts, one might propose a fourth account, which I shall defend here. Unlike the three accounts in which combat with polytheism and nondivine beliefs are proposed as the philosophy behind primary jihad, this account concentrates on “conducts and actions,” taking the philosophy of primary jihad to be combat with immoralities and breaches of covenants.
