Life-history parameters of Eotetranychus uncatus Garman (Acari: Tetranychidae) on red delicious apple

Eotetranychus uncatus garman (acari: tetranychidae) was found in unsprayed and abandoned orchards in turkey. it has the capability to become an important pest of deciduous fruit trees. in this study life-history parameters of e. uncatus garman was studied at 25±1°c and 16:8 l:d photoperiod and 65±5% relative humidity on the apple leaf discs under controlled conditions. while the mean generation time of female (from egg to adult stage) was 13.65 days,it was 11.82 days for male. pre-oviposition period of female was 2.95 days and total number of eggs laid per female was 26.30. © 2012 zoological society of pakistan.
