|
In this article the class of quasi polya distribution (cqpd) (sen and jain: a class of quasi-polya distributions,statistics and probability letters,31,313-322,1997) is derived as a weighted quasi polya distribution (qpd)-i (janardan: markov-polya urn model with pre-determined strategies-i,gujrat statistical review 2(1),17-31,1975). a recursive algorithm for the computation of probabilities and an expression for the probability generating function of cqpd are presented. © 2011 pakistan journal of statistics.
