Strategy of board structure for financial performance -the empirical analysis of chinese companies with issued ADRs

The discussion on board of directors' responsibility is not novel presently. nevertheless,addressing the impact of financial performance on the multinational business of chinese companies is worth exploring. in this study,financial performance was measured by financial statements,where the performance included roa (return on assets) and roe (return on equity). the findings indicated that parts of directors' characteristics were the significantly explanatory variables of financial performance. therefore,the improved board structure could lead to an increasing financial performance. © 2012 pakistan journal of statistics.
