The effect of network relationship on ganizational performance in public sectors

The emergence of new public management movement has enhanced the reform in public sectors. in such a reform movement in public sectors,the cooperation between public sectors and civil organizations is emphasized. with the collaborated planning of public and private sectors,it has become one of the modern tools in public sector government. this study aims to investigate the effects of network relationship between private and public sectors on organizational performance of public sectors so as to understand the interactions between public and private sectors in the promotion of policies and to discuss the cooperation among the participants in the network. having the supervisors and public servants in the bureaus and departments in new taipei city government as the research subjects for questionnaire survey,total 1000 copies were distributed. deducting 16 invalid copies from the collected 648 questionnaires,total 432 valid copies were retrieved,with the retrieval rate 43%. each questionnaire was regarded as a valid sample. the research findings are concluded as below. (1) network relationship presents significantly positive correlations with production performance in organizational performance. (2) network relationship reveals remarkably positive correlations with human resource performance in organizational performance. (3) network relationship appears notably positive correlations with training performance in organizational performance. (4) network relationship shows remarkably positive correlations with judgment performance in organizational performance. (5) the correlations between network relationship and organizational performance appear outstanding differences on demographic variables. the research outcomes are expected to provide suggestions and reference for public sectors. © 2012 pakistan journal of statistics.
