چکیده
|
The inability to get people to test regularly and know their human immunodeficiency virus (hiv) status has caused the widespread unavailability of correct and comprehensive data on hiv infection. this study consists of the birth process model for estimating the incidence of hiv infection in three main cities in bangladesh up to the year 2020. data and necessary information were obtained from the 9th round serological surveillance, bangladesh. the probability generating function approach was used to solve the associated birth process model to estimate the hiv incidence. the results reveal that the hiv infected populations of dhaka, chittagong and sylhet cities as projected by the fitted model are shown increasing trend. © 2014 pakistan journal of statistics.
