چکیده    Two interacting disaster inventory systems dealing with same product located in different places are considered. in both the systems, different (s,s) policies are adopted for replenishment. separate demands occur independently in each system at constant rates with different parameters. during the stock-out period of one of the systems, the other system can transfer units of its inventory to the other and avoid lost demands. however,if the inventory in a system at the epoch of request for transfer of a unit from the other system is less than the re-order level and order for replenishment is pending, transfer of units from this inventory system may not be preferred during this period. considering these aspects,we obtain the measures of system performance such as the mean number of (i) lost demands (ii) demands satisfied (iii) re-orders (iv) demands satisfied in a particular system with the products from the other system. © 2014 pakistan journal of statistics.
