Empirical analysis of the correlation between csr of petroleum enterprises and financial performances in china

The relationship between csr (corporate social responsibility) and financial performance has always been a hot topic for academic study and practical discussion. 30 domestic listed petroleum companies in china are chosen as samples in this paper to study the relationship of chinese petroleum enterprises’ financial performance in the current period and the following one. results indicate that petroleum enterprises’ fulfillment of social responsibility would increase their enterprise value in both the current period and long run. csr of petroleum enterprise has positive correlation with equity return,profit margin and growth rate of major business,and liquidity ratio; it has negative correlation with debt-to-asset ratio and no relationship with enterprises ownership. © 2014 pakistan journal of statistics.
