چکیده
|
Seed morphological characters of 14 taxa of the family cucurbitaceae distributed in 6 genera were examined using light and scanning microscopy. seeds are obovate,oblanceolate,oblong,ovate or orbicular. size ranges from 4-15 x 2-9mm. it is observed that seed morphology not only provides a beneficial tool for delimitation of taxa at various levels,but it can also be used to assess the phylogenetic relationship among different taxa. © 2015,pakistan botanical society. all rights reserved.
