EVALUATION OF GREVILLEA ROBUSTA, DIATOMACEOUS EARTH AND KOBIOL FOR THE CONTROL OF MUNG DHORA (CALLOSOBRUCHUS CHINENSIS L.) (INSECTA: COLEOPTERA: BRUCHIDAE)

Laboratory bioassays were conducted to evaluate the alone and combined effect of grevillea robusta a., diatomaceous earth (protect-it) and k-obiol against callosobruchus chinensis l. (insecta: coleoptera: bruchidae). the doses rates of g. robusta 50, 100 ppm; protect-it 250, 500 ppm and of k-obiol 0.125, 0.25, 0.5 ppm of were used. the bioassays were conducted at 25oc and 30oc with 65% relative humidity and the data for mortality was observed after 24, 48, 72 h and 5 d. the minimum mean mortality of c. chinensis 36.97% with the application of protect-it after 24 h; however, g. robusta gave 68.73% mortality after 5 d at 30°c. the combined effect of protect-it, g. robusta and k-obiol gave 100% adult mortality at 30°c and 65% r.h. no progeny was recorded in k-obiol treated units when combined with diatomaceous earth.
