|
This study was carried out in erbil city for three years from 1-3-2009 to 19-11-2011 continually both in the field and laboratory of agriculture research directorate-ankawa within erbil city. the results showed seven generations per year for the fig moth. female fecundity ranged from 98 to 156 eggs, while incubation period of eggs ranged from 7-12 days. the longevity of larval and pupal stage occupied 7-15 and 7-11 days. the entire life cycle of moth ranged between 28 to 39 days for all seven generations. also some field and laboratory observations were taken in particular the number of mating in which the adult insects mate after 4-24 hrs from emergence and each female mates with 2-3 different male while each male have the ability to mate with 3-5 females.
