چند واژه در واج‌شناسی شاهنامه

دربارۀ واژه‌های شاهنامه و چگونگی خوانش درست و اصیل آن‌ها مهم‌ترین منابع موجود عبارت است از لغت شهنامه و فرهنگ بسامدی ولف، واژه‌نامک، فرهنگ شاهنامۀ علی رواقی و چند منبع دیگر. واژه‌نامۀ شاهنامه نوشتۀ جلال خالقی مطلق را نیز باید بر این سیاهه افزود. اگرچه با مطالعۀ این منابع آگاهی‌های ارزشمندی در زمینۀ لغت‌شناسی شاهنامه فراهم می‌آید، همچنان دربارۀ شماری نه چندان اندک از واژه‌ها ابهام‌هایی وجود دارد و هنوز نه‌تنها از چگونگی خوانش و تلفّظ بسیاری از واژه‌ها مطمئن نیستیم، بلکه از اساس، در درستی و اصالت پاره‌ای از واژه‌ها تردید داریم. از همین روی، بایسته است که واژه‌شناسان و فرهنگ‌پژوهان منابع مربوط به موضوع مورد نظر را به‌دقّت بررسی کنند تا پرتوهای تازه‌ای بر زمینۀ مورد بحث تابیده شود. تازه‌ترین اثری که در زمینۀ واژه‌های شاهنامه نوشته شده‌است واج‌شناسی شاهنامه است که نویسندۀ آن برای تعیین چگونگی تلفّظ واژه‌های شاهنامه افزون بر متن (بافت، معنی، وزن و به ویژه قافیه) خود کتاب، از منابع پهلوی، دست‌نویس‌های کهن فارسی، فرهنگ‌ها و به‌ویژه فرهنگ گران‌سنگ فریتس وُلف و نیز پاره‌ای از منابع دیگر بهره جسته‌است. با انتشار یافتن واج‌شناسی شاهنامه و مدخل شدن بسیاری از واژه‌های بحث‌انگیز در آن ضرورت بازنگری برخی از اطّلاعات زبانی مربوط به شاهنامه و لغات فارسی روزگار فردوسی بیش از پیش احساس می‌شود. آنچه در دنباله می‌آید قرینه‌ها و سندها یا استدلال‌هایی است دربارۀ ضبط برخی از واژه‌ها یا چگونگی تلفّظ آن‌ها در شاهنامه که نگارنده مدخل‌به‌مدخل فراروی خوانندۀ گرامی می‌نهد.
