مدینه جایگاه بسیاری از وقایع مهم تاریخی، به ویژه در صدر اسلام، بوده است. از جمله این وقایع، تغییر قبله از بیت‌المقدس به سوی کعبه است. در اهمیت آن همین بس‌که چند آیه از قرآن کریم به آن ماجرا اختصاص دارد. پیامبر9 و به پیروی از او، مسلمانان تا سال دوم هجرت به سوی بیت‌المقدس نماز می‌گزاردند؛ اما حضرت در این سال مشغول نماز جماعت در مسجد بود که دستور الهی برای تغییر قبله به سوی کعبه فرود آمد.مرور منابع کهن در مورد این واقعه، اختلافات از جهات گوناگون را نشان می‌دهد. چه بسا این اختلاف متون، زمینه‌ساز انکار تمام آن واقعه از سوی برخی باشد و تنها به بیانات قرآن بسنده کنند. بنابراین به منظور رفع اختلاف‌ها لازم است این موارد با دقت بررسی شود.این مقاله می‌کوشد ابهام‌ها را از سه جهت برطرف سازد: مکان تغییر قبله، ماه تغییر قبلهو نمازی‌که در میان آن، دستور تغییر نازل شد.

medina has been the site of many important historical events, especially in the early days of islam. one of these events is the change of the qibla from jerusalem to the kaaba. the revelation of a few verses of the holy qur’an in this regard reveals the importance of the issue. the prophet, and following him, muslims prayed towards jerusalem until the second year of the hijrah; but in this year, he was praying in congregation in the mosque when the divine order was revealed to change the qibla to face the kaaba. the review of the ancient sources on this incident reveals differences in various ways. perhaps these different texts are the basis for the denial of the whole event by some and they only refer to the qur’an. resolving the disputes needs careful examination of these cases. this article resolves the ambiguities in three ways: the place of changing the qibla, the month of changing the qibla, and the prayer during which the order of the change was revealed.
