واژه «مهدی» و جایگاه آن در کتاب و سنّت، از نگاه اسلام‌شناسان غربی

Muslim scholars always have paid attention to the significant subject on the promised mahdia.s. . parallel with the efforts done by the islamic scholars to identify mahdavi teachings, western islamicists have not ignored this topic and have given their opinions about it. but most of these opinions have turned away from the real truth of mahdaviyat whether intentionally or not. this matter needs the double endeavors of the defenders of the secret field of imamat in answering to the doubts in this regard. the mentioned article has tried to investigate and criticize some of the western islamicists' views which are given in the main encyclopedias to clarify the doubts and correct their mistakes in the mahdaviyat subject. the main reason for choosing these encyclopedias can be known in their scientific fame and the vast referring of the researchers to their articles. because of this, we have investigated western islamicists' viewpoint on the term mahdi and also the position of the term in the holy book and sunnah with selecting six items from four encyclopedias
