The necessity for the existence of an imam is a consensus in islamic nation, in a way that the reasons in both logical and transmitted parts would approve it. from the view point of intellect, transmitted narrations and verses of the holy quran, the superiority in human perfection attributes and religious matters is one of the necessary conditions of an imam, as it can be deduced from the sayings of the companions of the prophet in choosing the caliph after the prophet. on the other hand, the suitability for islam for being an international and eternal religion is because of its justice and reality in both ideological beliefs and practices in islamic view and among its nation.for the fulfillment of superiority in one particular person, one needs to be infallible, otherwise his virtues will be comparative and because the other sects in islam do not believe in existence of such an imam, expect shi’a, there will not be such personality among them, and also among shi’a only the twelvers are right and this figure can be any one else except the imam al-hojjat al-hassan al-asgarim.a.h.h.a
