The “elites” and “special figures” are those with knowledge, information, vision together with the power of deducing and conclusion who help the leader of the society to progress his aim and goals. one of the most important shi’a elites responsibilities is to guide the society toward the pure islam. elites and special figures of the society with taking benefits from virtue, knowledge, vision and information will guide the shi’a society and immunize the society from going astray.this research tries to answer the question that who the elites of the society were in time of imam rezaa.s.? what was their position in the society? and what was their role in guiding shi’a society at that time?the answer to this question will help the writer to have a better investigation and analyzing of the role and position of the elites and special figures in shi’a society in occultation period.the result of the research approves that the elites in razavi time with their presence in religious, scientific, political, cultural and economical fields guided the shi’a society and helped the imam to achieve his goals. the most important characteristic of the elites and special figures in all fields was their piety and vision that stopped them from shaking in difficulties and helped them to guide people toward perfection and growth.therefore, in occultation period, the elites should be active in different fields, taking benefits from piety, knowledge and vision and keep the society away from misguidance and going astray
