تحلیل گزینه مطلوب جمهوری اسلامی ایران در مواجهه با رقابت های تسلیحاتی در غرب آسیا

منطقه غرب آسیا نقطه کانونی برای تامین منافع و امنیت ملی ایران است که در آن بازیگران مختلف به سبب رقابت‌های ژئوپلیتیک، تعارض منافع و ضرورت ایجاد موازنه قدرت به شرکت در رقابت تسلیحاتی روی آورده اند. این رقابت‌های تسلیحاتی که برای چندین دهه در این منطقه جریان دارد نه تنها باعث شکننده شدن وضعیت امنیت در غرب آسیا شده، بلکه پرسش هایی را نیز در مورد گزینه های در دسترس ایران برای دستیابی به توازن قوا در منطقه ایجاد کرده است. همین پرسش به مسئله کانونی این پژوهش تبدیل شده و نویسندگان اثر حاضر را بر آن داشته که به دنبال پاسخگویی به آن باشند. برای پاسخ به این پرسش در این مقاله به یاری روش تحقیق ترکیبی (کمی-توصیفی) به سنجش وضعیت رقابت تسلیحاتی در منطقه غرب آسیا، عوامل موثر در آن و پیامدهای این رقابت تسلیحاتی پرداخته شده است. یافته های این پژوهش نشان می دهد که هزینه های نظامی کشورهای منطقه غرب آسیا فراتر از میانگین جهانی است، کشورهای منطقه به دنبال دستیابی به توازن قدرت هستند و برای این منظور تکیه قابل توجهی به منابع اقتصادی خود دارند. در این فرایند جمهوری اسلامی ایران به سبب تنگناهایی که با آن مواجه است، با انتخاب های محدودی روبه‌رو شده و نیازمند آن است که برای ایجاد بازدارندگی مطلوب خویش بیش از پیش بر روی منابع داخلی خود تکیه کند

analyzing the favorable choice for the islamic republic of iran in response to the arms race in west asia

iran places significant emphasis on protecting its national interests and security in the west asia region, where numerous actors have resorted to arms race as a result of geopolitical rivalries, conflicts of interest, and the necessity of establishing a balance of power. the long-term arms race in this area, stretching several decades, has not only exacerbated the precarious security situation in west asia but also led to inquiries into iran’s possible options for attaining regional balance of power. the mentioned inquiry has emerged as the primary concern of this study, compelling the authors to pursue answers. to address this question, this article employs a mixed-methods (quantitative-descriptive) research design to assess the current state of arms race in west asia, the factors that influence it, and the consequences that result from such competition. the research findings suggest that states in west asia allocate a significant amount of their economic resources towards military expenditures that exceed the global average. in pursuit of achieving a balance of power, these nations rely heavily on their economic capabilities. as a consequence of the constraints it faces, the islamic republic of iran is compelled to implement more dependency on its domestic resources in order to achieve the deterrence it seeks
