مالیخولیا و شیوه درمان آن از دیدگاه ابن‌سینا (روی‌کردی فلسفی)

مسئله رابطه نفس ناطقه با بدن و واسطه بودن روح بخاری، به شکل‌گیری مباحث فلسفی فراوانی در این زمینه منجر شده‌است. یکی از این مواردْ علل و نشانه‌های بیماری‌های روانی، مانند افسردگی مالیخولیائی است که از دیدگاه ابن‌سینا مهم‌ترین دلیل به‌وجود‌آمدن آن و موثرترین شیوه درمان آن را باید در رابطه نفس ناطقه با بدن جست‌و‌جونمود. افسردگی مالیخولیا به‌معنای انحراف افکار و صورت‌های ذهنی انسانی از مسیر صحیح است که در این حالت انطباق مفاهیم علمی با خارج مختل می‌شود و لذا شخص در افکار و پندارهای نادرست خود غرق‌می‌گردد. این بیماری روانی دارای مراتب مختلفی است که در شدیدترین حالت آن، یعنی مانیا، ادراکات فرد بیمار تا حد زیادی از عالم واقعیت منحرف‌می‌گردد، دائماً به مردگان می‌اندیشد و ممکن است خود را فوت‌شده تلقی‌نماید. ازنظر ابن‌سینا علت اصلی این بیماری را باید در ضعف روح بخاری جستجوکرد که این ضعف موجب ضعف ارتباط نفس با بدن می‌شود. ریشه این ضعف نیز غلبه مزاج سودائی در مغز است که باعث اختلال در عملکرد روح بخاری به‌عنوان رابط نفس و بدن می‌شود. درمجموع نحوه مواجهه ابن‌سینا با افسردگی مالیخولیا نشان‌دهنده روی‌کرد جامع وی در مواجهه با اختلالات روانی است. روی‌کردی که هم در مبانی فلسفی وی و هم شواهد و مطالعات تجربی ریشه دارد.
