تحلیلی بر علل شکل‌گیری، اهداف و عملکرد لژیون خدمت‌گزاران بشر (1349ش-1357ش)

شش سال پس‌از اجرای اصول انقلاب سفید، محمدرضا پهلوی در سخنرانی خود در دانشگاه هاروارد در 1347ش، دیدگاه خود مبنی‌بر لزوم تشکیل سازمانی جهانی به‌نام لژیون خدمت‌گزاران بشر را ارائه داد. کمک‌رسانی به جوامع عقب‌مانده و درحال‌توسعه ازطریق نیروهای داوطلب، رسالت این سازمان عنوان شد.هدف: بیان رویکرد پهلوی دوم در تاسیس نهاد لژیون خدمت‌گزاران بشر، و توجه به آرمان مدنظر آن و نتایج فعالیت‌های آن.روش/رویکرد پژوهش: پژوهش حاضر با استفاده از منابع کتاب‌خانه‌ای با تاکید بر اسناد و با رویکرد توصیفی-تحلیلی تدوین شده‌است.یافته‌ها و نتایج: انگاره‌های روان‌شناختی پهلوی دوم در قامت مُصلحی جهانی، و تقلید از برنامه‌های اصل چهار ترومن و سپاهیان صلح کندی در شکل‌گیری این سازمان نقشی مهم داشت. فعالیت‌های این سازمان باوجودِ برخی تلاش‌ها، به‌دلیل کمبود بودجه، تداخل با اقدامات سایر ادارات به‌ویژه با سپاهیان سه‌گانۀ انقلاب سفید و حتی سپاهیان صلح کندی در ایران، و جدی‌گرفته‌نشدن فعالیت‌های آن ازسوی سازمان برنامه، چندان راه به جایی نبرد. هم‌چنین نادیده‌گرفته‌شدن این نهاد ازسوی رهبران کشورهای جهان، سبب توسعه‌نیافتن فعالیت‌های این نهاد در عرصۀ بین‌المللی شد.

a study on the formation causes, objectives, and functions of the legion of human servants (1970-1979)

purpose: six years after the implementation of the principles of the white revolution, mohammad reza pahlavi presented his vision for the establishment of a global organization called the legion of human servants during a speech at harvard university in 1968. the mission of this organization was to assist underdeveloped and developing communities through volunteer forces.thus, the purpose of this research is to elucidate the approach of the second pahlavi in establishing the legion of human servants, focusing on its intended ideals and the results of its activities.method and research design: the present study is based on library resources, with an emphasis on archival documents, and follows a descriptive-analytical methodology.  findings and conclusion: the psychological perceptions of the second pahlavi as an international reformer, and his imitation of truman’s point four program and kennedy’s peace corps, played a significant role in the formation of this organization. despite some efforts, the organization faced several obstacles, including a lack of funding, overlap with the activities of other agencies—particularly the three military branches of the white revolution and the peace corps in iran—and a lack of serious recognition by the planning organization, which hindered its success. additionally, the disregard for the institution by world leaders impeded the expansion of its activities on the international stage.
