تاملی در پیوند منصب «تُواچی» و «جارچی»

هدف: هدف این پژوهش ارزیابی دیدگاهی است که «تواچی» به‌عنوان یکی از مناصب متداول و صاحب‌نفوذ در تشکیلات نظامی تیموریان از دورۀ صفویه به منصب دیگری به‌نام «جارچی» تحول پیدا کرده‌است و ازآنجاکه این مدعا مناقشه‌برانگیز است، پژوهش حاضر به بررسی مدعای مذکور و سنجش آن با منابع تاریخی می‌پردازد.روش/ رویکرد: پژوهش حاضر با روش توصیفی-تحلیلی انجام شده‌است و عمدتاً با رویکردی انتقادی به طرح دیدگاه پژوهش‌گران و بررسی دقیق متون می‌پردازد.یافته‌ها/ نتیجه‌گیری: دستاورد پژوهش حاضر نشان می‌دهد که به‌غیراز وظیفه‌ای که جارچی درزمینۀ رساندن پیام و فرمان‌های صادرشده -به‌ویژه درصحنۀ نبرد- انجام می‌داده‌است، میان این منصب با منصب تواچی مناسبتی تاریخی دیده نمی‌شود و نمی‌توان مدعای یادشده دربارۀ یکسانی معنای این دو منصب و وظایف آن‌ها را ثابت کرد.

rethinking the concepts of “towachi” and “jarchi(town crier)”

purpose: the purpose of this research is to evaluate the viewpoint that considers the term towachi as a common and influential position in the timurid military organization and was replaced by another position called jarchi(town crier) in the safavid empire. towachi used to have duties such as organizing the army and monitoring its quantity and quality. based on mentioned viewpoint, it can be inferred that the position of jarchi used to have the same duties after the omission of towachi. however, this claim is very vague and controversial considering historical texts.method and research design: historical texts were critically studied and analyzed in a descriptive and analytical way.findings and conclusion: findings show that apart from jarchiʼs duty such as delivering message and orders, especially in the battle, there is no historical relationship between jarchi and towachi. threrfore, the mentioned claim about the exact concept of the two positions and their duties cannot be confirmed.
