First record of the Premicrodispus lineatus (Mahunka, 1986) (Acari: Heterostigmatina, Microdispidae) from Iran

The fungivorous heterostigmatic mites of the family microdispidae inhabit soil,litter, fungi substrates and decaying plant materials, and some have phoreticassociations with arthropods, specially insects (kaliszewski et al. 1995; walter et al.2009). based on khaustov (2008), this family is a member of the superfamilypygmephoroidea, however, walter et al. (2009) classified the family in thesuperfamily scutacaroidea. microdispid mites consist of about 17 genera and 109species (zhang et al. 2011) among which genus premicrodispus cross, 1965 is oneof the largest ones. the genus premicrodispus is usually soil-dwelling and has aworldwide distribution (khaustov 2006).
