چکیده    The aim of the study was to reveal the effect of the mass media tools on adoption of the innovations generated for animal production in erzurum province. study was conducted with 169 farmers in 7 districts representing erzurum in social,economic and cultural aspects. collected data with questionnaires were analysed using crosstab and logistic regression methods in limdep econometric software. innovations examined in this study were adoption of artificial insemination,drill use in sowing,automatic waterer in animal houses and making use of incentives for livestock production. significant and positive correlations were determined between artificial insemination and poster/advertisement,tv/radio; sowing drill use and book,booklet/brochures; automatic waterer and book,booklet/brochures; benefiting from incentives and poster. data analysis showed that mass media tools have significant effects on the adoption of innovations in animal production. for that reason intensive use of mass media along with other extension tools were suggested in farmer training activities for better effectiveness.
