چکیده    In this study,seismic hazard maps and response spectrum curves are obtained using classical probabilistic seismic hazard analysis for eskisehir. the surrounding area within the boundary of a 300 km radius circle centered at eskisehir is investigated for tectonic setting,local seismic activity and related seismic parameters. as the importance of the locality of the ground motion prediction equations (gmpe) is confirmed by recent studies and as a reflection of the accumulation of knowledge in the field,employing a local gmpe is deemed necessary. the equation is adjusted by calibration of the coefficients by using the local database. in the calibration,seismic events with the records are selected from the database gathered for the seismic hazard analysis. the developed seismic hazard map for peak ground acceleration and the response spectrum curve is compared with the current official seismic zonation map for the relative scattering of the seismic hazard and the spectrum curve. at the end of the study,it is shown that the seismic hazard map developed through this study contains more detailed information which is attributed to the source delineation,selection of gmpe and the scale of the interested regions.
