چکیده
|
1,4-dihydroxy anthraquinone (quinizarin) has been synthesised with two different precursors' p-chlorophenol and hydroquinone by condensation of phthalic anhydride. it has been noticed that p-chlorophenol gave higher yield as compared to hydroquinone on reaction with phthalic anhydride at 200°c within 3:30 hours in a mixture of concentrated h 2so 4 and boric acid. three disperse dyes have been prepared from the quinizarin. the physical properties of three different colored dyes have also been discussed.
