Hollow glass beads / poly(urea-formaldehyde) (hgb/puf) core-shell microspheres (p-hgb) were prepared by in-situ polymerization of urea and formaldehyde on the hgb. the morphology,constituent and structure of the p-hgb were identified through optical microscopy (om),flourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (ft-ir) and x-ray diffraction (xrd),respectively. the experiment results showed that the hgb were coated with multi-layer of the puf. in addition,the impact fracture surfaces of polypropylene (pp)/p-hgb composites were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (fe-sem),and the results showed that the interface compatibility between the phgb and the pp was improved.
