چکیده
|
A significant effect of different planting techniques and varying nitrogen applications was observed on wheat cultivar for plant height, number of productive tillers and number of spikelets per spike during experiments in the year 2000-01 and 2001-02. grain yield significantly varied on an average from 3.34 to 3.92 t ha^-1 among various planting techniques. higher nitrogen application n2 enhanced grain yield over control by 111.7 % at lower rate of nitrogen application by 32.0 %. the drilling in zero tillage technique had slightly higher protein content (11.74 %) as compared to kera in zero tillage (11.55 %). application of 120 kg n ha^-1 significantly increased the protein content (11.75 %) as compared to control (10.92) at 60 kg n ha^-1 (11.47 %). the best treat-ment combination of planting technique and nitrogen level was broad-cast + bar-harrow x 120 kg n ha^-1 which produced higher protein contents of 12.09 % during 2000-01 and 13.41 % in 2001-02.
