بررسی انتقادی چیستی دین در نگاه دنیل دنت

چیستی دین، از بنیادی ترین مسائل حوزه فلسفه دین و تعیین کننده رویکرد مکاتب گوناگوندر مسائل مختلف دین شناختی چون خاستگاه دین، حقانیت دین، زبان دین، گسترهدین، کارکرد دین و... است. دنیل کلمنت دنت - فیلسوف ذهن فیزیکالیست آمریکایی- از چهره های شاخص الحاد جدید و چهره ای تاثیرگذار در گسترش دیدگاه طبیعت گرایانهبه دین است و این مساله ضرورت بخش بررسی و ارزیابی دیدگاه وی در این زمینه است.از این رو، مقاله پیش رو، بر آن است تا دیدگاه او را در این زمینه به روش توصیفی - تحلیلی بررسی کرده و مورد سنجش قرار دهد. نتیجه تحقیق، پدیدارشدن خطاهای گوناگون دنت در توضیح چیستی دین و گرفتارآمدن در دام مغالطاتی همچون مغالطه کنه و وجه، مغالطه مصادره به مطلوب، مغالطه تعمیم نابه جا و همچنین کاستی ها، ناراستی ها و اشکالات گوناگون دیگر است.

the quiddity of religion in the viewpoint of daniel dennett, a critical study

the nature of religion is one of the most fundamental issues in the field of philosophy of religionand determines the approach of various schools of thought to various religious-cognitive issuessuch as the origin of religion, the legitimacy of religion, the language of religion, the scopeof religion, the function of religion, etc. daniel clement dennett, the american physicalistphilosopher of mind, is one of the prominent figures of the new atheism and an influential figurein the development of the naturalistic view of religion, and this issue necessitates the examinationand evaluation of his view in this field. therefore, the present article aims to examine andevaluate his view in this field in a descriptive-analytical manner. the result of the research isthe emergence of various errors in dennett’s explanation of the nature of religion and his fallinginto the trap of fallacies such as the nothing-but fallacy, and the begging the question fallacy,the faulty generalization fallacy, as well as various other shortcomings, inaccuracies, and errors
