تحلیل انتقادی دیدگاه ریچارد تیلور در معنای زندگی

نظریه‎ های معنای زندگی به دو دسته غیرپوچ‏گرا و پوچ‏گرا تقسیم می‏ شوند. دیدگاه غیرپوچ‏گرا به دو دسته معناداربودن و معنادارکردن زندگی تقسیم می‏ شود. دیدگاه معناداربودن زندگی نیز به دو دسته طبیعت ‏گرا و فراطبیعت ‏گرا تقسیم می ‏شود. این مقاله به‏ طورمشخص به دیدگاه تیلور به عنوان نماینده طبیعت‏ گرا ذهن ‎گرا پرداخته است. طبق نظر تیلور با علوم بشری می‏ توان شرایط لازم برای به‏ دست‎ آوردن یک زندگی معنادار را فراهم کرد. امکانات موجود در این دنیای مادی به ما کمک می ‏کند بتوانیم به زندگی خود معنا دهیم؛ بنابراین نیازی به عالمی فراتر از عالم ماده برای به ‏دست‎آوردن معنای زندگی نیست. وی تحقق زندگی معنادار را در گرو وجود خلاقیت با سه ویژگی علم و آگاهی و آزادی و برنامه کلی برای زندگی می ‏داند. از اشکالات این دیدگاه عدم تحقق این سه شرط به ‏طورکامل به دلیل محدود بودن در دایره طبیعت، نسبیت در معنای زندگی و عدم توجیه مناسب برای زندگی بعد از مرگ و ناتوانی در حل احساس پوچی و تنهایی و از خود بیگانگی است.

Critical Analysis of Richard Taylor’s View on the Meaning of Life

Theories of the meaning of life are divided into two categories: nonabsurd and absurd. The nonabsurdist view is divided into two categories: meaningfulness and make life meaningful. The view that life is meaningful is also divided into naturalistic and super naturalistic. This article specifically addresses Taylor’s views as a naturalistsubjectivist representative. According to Taylor, the human science can provide the conditions for a meaningful life. The facilities available in this material world help us to give meaning of our lives. Therefore, there is no need for a world beyond the material world to acquire the meaning of life. He considers the realization of meaningful life to be dependent on creativity with three characteristics: science, awareness, freedom, and a general plan for life. Some of the faults of this view are: The nonfulfillment of these three conditions completely is due to being limited in the circle of nature,  relativity is the meaning of life and the lack of proper justification for life after death and the inability to resolve feelings of emptiness and solitude and alienation.
