چکیده    Primary central nervous system lymphoma is an uncommon intracranial tumor which belongs to the group of b cell non-hodgkin lymphomas. infrequently contrast enhancing transient lesions may precede the diagnosis. they are named as “sentinel lesions” after alderson's paper. due to the transient nature of these lesions, lymphomas may be confused with demyelinating or infectious central nervous system disorders. in those cases an accurate diagnosis is only possible with a brain biopsy. here we present a patient followed for more than two years without a clear distinction of lymphoma or a relapsing remitting demyelinating disease. ultimately after development of an isolated mass lesion,a brain biopsy was performed and primary central nervous system lymphoma was histopathologically diagnosed. © 2014,ege university press. all rights reserved.
