تجزیه و تحلیل کتاب اسلام نص‌گرا: تاریخ و عقاید اخباریان شیعه (شرح و ارزیابی پروژۀ اخباری‌پژوهی رابرت گلیو)

پژوهش‌های مرتبط با اندیشۀ فقهی امامیه در دهه‌های اخیر پیشرفت چشم‌گیری داشته و صورت‌بندی بسیاری از مباحث را تغییر داده است. پژوهندگان تلاش کرده‌اند از کلیشه‌های موجود فاصله بگیرند و با نگاهی متفاوت به تاریخ فقاهت بنگرند، اما هنوز پژوهش‌ها در ابتدای مسیر قرار دارد. رابرت گلیو از جملۀ پژوهندگانی است که با فاصله گرفتن از خوانش عقل‌ستیزانه از اخباریان، شناسایی تنوع در میان علمای اخباری، قرار دادن دغدغۀ یقین در کانون نظریۀ اخباری و نیز نفی تلقی پروتستانتیستی ازآموزه‌های اخباریان تلاش ارزشمندی برای شکلی از تاریخی‌نگری در برنامۀ پژوهشی خود انجام داده است که البته تمام و کمال نیست. انتقاد وارد به رهیافت نظری گلیو این است که در کار او گونه‌ای ذات‌گرایی در مقوله‌بندی علما به اخباری و اصولی مشاهده می‌شود. چنین برمی‌آید که گلیو خط تقسیم ستبری میان دو گروه از علمای امامیه می‌کشد و به این ترتیب به جای مطالعۀ بازنمایی‌ها و فهم‌های کنش‌گران تاریخی تعبیرهایی چون اخباری و اصولی را به‌مثابۀ واقعیت‌هایی انضمامی درنظر می‌گیرد، درحالی‌که از چشم‌اندازی تاریخی مفاهیم، تعاریف و مقوله‌ها نیز خود پدیدارهایی تاریخی هستند.در این مقاله با تمرکز بر کتاب اسلام نص‌گرا تلاش کرده‌ایم به کمک روش تحلیل مضمون و تحلیل متنی دستاوردهای پژوهشی این شیعه‌شناس را بررسی انتقادی کنیم و ظرفیت‌ها و نیز محدودیت‌های آن را نشان دهیم.

research projects into imami jurisprudence indicate a great development in the field reformulating many questions. taking new perspectives towards history of twelver jurisprudence and ijtihad, contributors have started to criticise the clichés however this trend is at the beginning and many questions are still remaining obscure. challenging many stereotypes, robert gleave is of the pioneering researchers who rejects anti-rational notion prevailing in akhbari study, recognises a diversity amongst akhbari ulama, puts certainty at the centre of akhbari theory, and negates a reading which represents akhbari theory as a protestant shiism. his attempt shows an enthusiasm for some historical reading which unfortunately fails to fulfil the requirements. from this point of view an essentialism might be traced in his categorising system making him form a rigid, fix, and objective differentiation between two groups of imami ulama. in doing so, instead of concentrating on historical actors and their systems of representation, categorisation, and perception he regards usuli, akhbari, and other concepts as concrete realities while from a historical perspective concepts, definitions, and categories are also socio-historical phenomena needed to be studied. focusing on his scripturalist islam, this article aims to study gleave’s important achievements in shia studies.
