The effectiveness of neurofeedback training to improve reaction time

Introduction and Objective: To achieve optimal performance with improved reaction time of the most important goals of students and athletes. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of neurofeedback training on reaction time performance. To carry out this study of neurofeedback device and a reaction time test was used.Methods: A total of 30 volunteers were selected and after obtaining the consent of experimental and placebo were divided into two groups of 15 individuals. First, as pretest research tools were taken from both groups. The experimental group received 20 sessions of neurofeedback training and feedback that they receive real and related to their performance, but the placebo group received feedback was random and not dependent on their performance. Then again at the end of 20 sessions were conducted the research as a posttest.Results: The results showed that neurofeedback training can improve the response time performance. Accordingly, this device can be used to enhance athletic performance and the military.Conclusion: Due to the positive impact of this method on reaction time, this study showed that neurofeedback can be used as an effective method used to achieve optimum performance.
