جراحت ناشی از سوزن و عوامل روانی همراه با آن در میان دانشجویان دندان‌پزشکی

زمینه و هدف: آسیب ناشی از سوزن (nsj) مشکل عمده بهداشت شغلی در بین کارکنان دندان‌پزشکی است که آن‌ها را در معرض خطر زیاد ابتلا به عفونت‌های خطرناک منتقل‌شونده از خون قرار می‌دهد. مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی مواجه شغلی با nsj و عوامل روانی همراه با آن در میان دانشجویان دندان‌پزشکی اراک انجام شد.مواد و روش ها: این مطالعه توصیفی مقطعی روی دانشجویان سه سال آخر دانشکده دندان‌پزشکی اراک، در سال 1397 انجام شد. پرسش‌نامه‌ها دربرگیرنده سوالاتی درباره میزان آگاهی دانشجویان از شرایط وقوع nsj، فراوانی واکسیناسیون و آزمایش تیتر آنتی‌بادی بود. برای جمع‌آوری اطلاعات مربوط به بار روانی ناشی از nsj، از پرسش‌نامه scl-90 (symptom checklist-90) در چهار بعد اضطراب، ترس، خودبیمارانگاری و افسردگی استفاده شد. تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از روش‌های آماری توصیفی و آزمون کای‌اسکوئر انجام شد.ملاحظات اخلاقی: کمیته اخلاق دانشگاه علوم‌پزشکی اراک این مقاله را تایید کرده و با شناسه اخلاق ir.arakmu.rec.1397.269 به ثبت رسانده است.یافته ها: از بین هشتاد دانشجوی مورد مطالعه، 59 نفر حداقل یک بار ns شده بودند اما تنها 25.4 درصد دانشجویان وقوع ns را گزارش کرده بودند. بیشترین وقوع ns در بخش درمان ریشه رخ داده بود. 80 درصد دانشجویان واکسن هپاتیت b زده بودند. بر اساس نتایج آزمون scl-90، بُعد اضطراب بیشتر از سایر ابعاد در معرض تاثیر nsj قرار گرفته بود.نتیجه گیری: با وجود شیوع زیاد nsj در دانشجویان دندان‌پزشکی، میزان گزارش بعد از وقوع این حادثه بسیار کم بود، همچنین به دلیل توجه نکردن به واکسیناسیون در برخی دانشجویان، نیاز به آموزش بیشتر کنترل عفونت احساس می‌شود. بر اساس نتایج آزمون scl-90، وقوع ns در بروز مشکلات روانی موثر است.

Needlestick Injuries and Associated Psychosocial Factors Among the Students of Dental School

Background and Aim: Needlestick injury (NSJ) is a common occupational health problem among dental healthcare workers, putting them at significant risk for bloodborne infections. This study aimed to investigate occupational exposure to NSJ and the psychological factors associated with it among dentistry students.Methods Materials: This descriptive crosssectional study was carried out on students in the Arak school of dentistry training curriculum in the last three years in 2018. The questionnaires included questions about students rsquo; awareness of NSJ conditions, the frequency of vaccinations, and antibody titration tests. The SCL-90 (Symptom checklist-90) questionnaire assessed psychological factors after NSJ in four dimensions of anxiety, phobia, selfmorbidity, and depression. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical methods and a chisquare test.Ethical Considerations: The study was approved by the Arak University of Medical Sciences (Code: IR.ARAKMU.REC.1397.269).Results: Of the eighty students surveyed, 59 students had experienced NSJ at least once. However, only 25.4% of students had reported the NSJ occurrence. The highest incidence rate of NSJ was reported in the endodontics section. In addition, 80% of students had received hepatitis B vaccinations. Based on the SCL-90 test, the anxiety dimension was more affected by NSJ than the other dimensions.Conclusion: Despite the high prevalence of NSJ in dental students, the rate of reporting after the accident is very low. Also, due to the lack of attention to vaccination in some students, there is a need for more infection control training. Based on the SCL-90 test, the occurrence of NS is effective in causing psychological problems.
