آگاهی و نگرش دندان‌پزشکان عمومی اراک از فالوآپ ایمپلنت‌های دندانی در سال 1397

زمینه و هدف: با توجه به استفاده روزافزون از ایمپلنت‌های دندانی در جایگزین کردن دندان‌های ازدست‌رفته، احتمال وقوع شکست این درمان در گذر زمان، مشابه سایر درمان‌های دندان‌پزشکی، اجتناب‌ناپذیر است و جهت کاهش این مشکلات نیاز به فالوآپ‌های دقیق و منظم است. از این رو، مطالعه حاضر با هدف تعیین آگاهی و نگرش دندان‌پزشکان عمومی درباره فالوآپ ایمپلنت‌های دندان به منظور ایجاد پایه‌ای از اطلاعات برای برنامه‌ریزی دوره‌های بازآموزی ایمپلنت‌های دندانی انجام شده است.مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه تحلیلی مقطعی، 98 نفر از دندان‌پزشکان عمومی شهر اراک در سال 1397 بررسی شدند. پرسش‌نامه‌ها در سه بخش جمعیت‌شناختی، آگاهی و نگرش طراحی شدند. بعد از بررسی روایی و پایایی، پرسش‌نامه‌ها در اختیار شرکت‌کنندگان قرار گرفت. داده‌های جمع‌آوری شده با استفاده از آنالیز توصیفی و آزمون‌های کای‌اسکوئر و تی مستقل آنالیز آماری شدند. حد معناداری 0.05 در نظر گرفته شد.ملاحظات اخلاقی: این مقاله مورد تایید کمیته اخلاق دانشگاه علوم پزشکی اراک است (کد: ir.arakmu.rec.1397.283).یافته ها میانگین نمره آگاهی برای تمام نمونه‌های مورد مطالعه 8.10 (بر اساس نمره صفر تا نوزده) و میانگین نمره نگرش 8.12 (بر اساس نمره هفت تا 21) بود. 53 نفر از دندان‌پزشکان قبلاً درمان ایمپلنت را انجام داده بودند که آگاهی و نگرش آنها از فالوآپ درمان ایمپلنت به طور معناداری بالاتر از دندان‌پزشکانی بود که درمان ایمپلنت را انجام نداده بودند (0/0005=p). تجربه کاری اثر معناداری روی آگاهی و نگرش دندان‌پزشکان نداشت (p>0/05). نتیجه گیری: دندان‌پزشکان عمومی نسبت به فالوآپ ایمپلنت آگاهی و نگرش کمی دارند و از آنجا که فالوآپ نقش مهمی در موفقیت طولانی‌مدت درمان ایمپلنت دارد، برنامه‌های آموزشی / بازآموزی دندان‌پزشکان در این زمینه باید مورد بازنگری و تاکید بیشتر قرار گیرد.

The Awareness and Attitude of General Dentists on Dental Implants Follow-up

Background and Aim: Considering the increasing use of dental implants in replacing lost teeth, the odds of failure over time in this treatment are inevitable, as with other dental treatments; thus, it requires careful and regular followup. Accordingly, the present study aimed to evaluate the awareness and attitude of general dentists about the followup of the dental implants to create baseline information to schedule future workshops concerning dental implants.Methods Materials: In this analytic crosssectional study, 98 general dentists of Arak City, Iran were evaluated. Questionnaires were designed in 3 sections, as follows: demographic, awareness, and attitude. After checking the validity and reliability of the questionnaires, they were distributed among the research participants. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, Chisquared test, and Independent Samples ttests. The significance level was considered 0.05.Ethical Considerations: This article was approved by the Ethics Committee of Arak University of Medical Sciences (Code: IR.ARAKMU.REC.1397.283).Results: The average score of awareness of the questionnaires was equal to 10.8 (based on the score of 019); the mean score of attitude was measured as 12.8 (based on the score of 721). FiftyThree of the explored dentists had performed implant treatment, whose awareness and attitude toward implants followup were significantly higher than those of the dentists who did not perform such treatment (P=0.0001). Work experience presented no significant effect on the examined dentists rsquo; awareness and attitude (P>0.05).Conclusion: General dentists have low awareness and attitude about implant followup. Followup plays an important role in the longterm success of implant therapy; therefore, dental education/retraining programs should be reviewed in this field.
