   synthesis and investigation of corrosion inhibition of 4-(naphthalen-1-yl) thiazol-2-amineoncopper in hcl: experimental and theoretical studies

چکیده    4-(naphthalen-1-yl) thiazol-2-amine (nta) was synthesized and its corrosion inhibition ability on the  copper  was  investigated.  the  inhibition  efficiencies  were  evaluated  by  electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (eis), potentiodynamic polarization, scanning electron microscopy (sem), and atomic force microscopy (afm).the experiments were performed in various concentrations of nta in  1  m  hcl  solution.  computational  studies  (molecular  dynamics  (md)  simulation  and density  functional  theory  (dft))  were  also  executed.  the  corrosion  inhibition  efficiency  of  this compound  at  optimum concentration  was  about  90%,  demonstrating  that nta is  an  effective corrosion inhibitor. the adsorption of inhibitor obeyed the langmuir adsorption model.
