   Interpenetrating Polymer Network of Epoxy Resin Based Polyhydroxy Ester and Poly (Methylmethacrylate)

چکیده    The present work aims to modify conventional epoxy resin (dgeba) into polyhydroxy ester by polycondensation reaction with five different dibasic acids. all of these five polyhydroxy ester (epes) resins are characterized for their physical properties as well as for their structure elucidation. they have also been evaluated for their thermal stability. these polyhydroxy ester resins have been further used as one of the polymeric component along with thermoplastic polymethyl methacrylate in synthesis of interpenetrating polymer network (ipns) formation in the presence of different curing agents. the ipns have been characterized preliminary for its solubility behavior and thermal stability. finally the application of such ipns has been examined as resin matrix which are evaluated for their mechanical properties and chemical resistance to different reagents.
