ابرقدرت غرب از نگاه چینیان: قلمرو شاهنشاهی اشکانی در منابع چینی

شاهنشاهی اشکانی تقریباً هم‌‌زمان با امپراتوری هان به قدرت رسید و با آن مناسبات سیاسی و اقتصادی و... داشت؛ بنابراین این دولت مورد توجه سالنامه‌‌های کهن چینی بود. گسترۀ جغرافیایی این حکومت، به‌‌ویژه در مناطق شرقی، جزو مباحثی است که در این سالنامه‌‌ها بدان پرداخته شده و با توجه به فقر منابع این دوره می‌‌تواند در تبیین موضوع و تکمیل گزارش منابع غربی مفید باشد. هدف پژوهش حاضر، بررسی گسترۀ جغرافیایی قلمرو اشکانیان در منابع چینی است. افزون بر این، نقش اشکانیان در تصویرسازی منابع چینی از قلمرو آنان هم تحلیل شده‌است. پژوهش حاضر به روش توصیفی تحلیلی و به شیوۀ کتابخانه‌‌ای انجام یافته‌است. بررسی‌‌ها نشان می‌‌دهد اطلاعات منابع چینی دربارۀ قلمرو اشکانی، به‌‌ویژه در سرحدات شرقی، بسیار ارزشمند است. همچنین به نظر می‌‌رسد اشکانیان خود را یگانه ابرقدرت غرب می‌دانستند و در عمل هم ضمن تلاش برای حذف رومیان از مناسبات سیاسی و اقتصادی بین‌‌المللی، سعی داشتند قلمرو خود را بزرگ‌تر از آنچه بود، در نگاه چینیان به تصویر بکشند.

western superpower in chinese viewpoints: arsacidterritory in chinese historical sources

primary chinese sources are considered important for studying parthian history. the parthian empire came to power almost simultaneously with the han empire and had political, economic, ... relations with it. therefore, this government has been considered by chinese sources. the geographical scope of this government, especially in the eastern regions, is one of the issues addressed in these sources, and due to the lack of resources in this period, it can be very useful in explaining this issue and completing the report of western sources. in the present study, the main question is what range of territory do chinese sources draw for the parthians, and what was the parthian share in this illustration? our study shows that information from chinese sources about the parthian territory is valuable, especially for the eastern borders. the parthians, on the other hand, seem to have sought to portray their territory as larger than it was in the eyes of the chinese by defining themselves as the sole superpower of the west, while excluding the romans from international political and economic relations.
