نیاکان اوست‌ها: (آلان‌ها، آس‌ها و اوس‌ها در مسیر تداوم و تحول؛ بر پایۀ منابع تاریخی ایرانی)

اوست‌ها در مرکز کوهستان بزرگ قفقاز در دو سوی گذرگاه داریال ساکن هستند. شماری مسلمان و شماری مسیحی‌اند. نتایج پژوهش‌های علمی و خودآگاهی هویتی اوست‌ها حاکی از خویشاوندی آنان با ایرانیان است و تبار ایشان‌را در زنجیره‌ای از سکاها، سرمت‌ها، آلان‌ها و آس‌ها و سرانجام اوس‌ها و اوست‌ها ترسیم می‌کند. آلان‌ها و آس‌ها که پیشینۀ آنها به سده‌های واپسین پیش از میلاد بازمی‌گردد، متاخرترین نیاکان اوست‌ها‌ محسوب می‌شوند، مردمانی‌که حضور یافتن‌شان در سرحدات شمالی ایران، آنها را برای ایرانیان واجد اهمیتی درخور ساخت. در مقالۀ حاضر به جستجوی بخشی از زنجیرۀ نیاکان اوست‌ها، یعنی آلان‌ها و آس‌ها و تحول این نام‌ها در کتیبه‌ها و مکتوبات به‌جا مانده از دوران ایران پیش از اسلام و همچنین آثار چاپ‌شده تاریخ‌نویسان، سفرنامه‌نویسان، اندرزنامه‌نویسان و شاعران ایرانی به زبان فارسی تا دورۀ قاجار پرداخته می‌شود. یافته‌های این پژوهش حاکی از تطابق بزنگاه‌های حیات نیاکان اوست‌ها و تحول نام‌های ایشان در منابع ایرانی با نتایج پژوهش‌های تاریخی به زبان‌های مختلف و دستاوردهای باستان‌شناسی و زبان‌شناسی است.

Ancestors of the OssetsThe Alans, the Asii and the Osii on the Path of Continuing and Change; based on Iranian Historical Sources

The Ossets live in the center of the Greater Caucasus Mountains on either side of the Darial Gorge. Some are Muslims and some are Christians. Results of scientific research and selfawareness of the Ossets indicate their kinship with Iranians and their lineage traces them to a chain of Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans, and the Asii, and eventually to the Osii and the Ossets.The Alans and the Asii, whose ancestry dates back to the last centuries BC, are the most recent ancestors of the Ossets, peoples whose their presence on the northern frontiers of Iran made them important to Iranians.The present article looks at a part of the ancestors' chains of the Ossets, Alans and the Assi, and the Osii and the change of these names in the inscriptions and published Iranian works, including works of historians, Prose writers, travelogues, and poets until the Qajar era.The findings of this study indicate that the turning points of the life of the ancestors of Ossets and the change of their names in Iranian sources show compliance with the results of historical research based on other languages, and archaeological and linguistic achievements.
