سایه‌روشن جدال زن سنتی و مدرن در ایران و سوریه (مورد پژوهانه: رمان «الدوامة» و «چراغ‌ها را من خاموش می‌کنم»)

یکی از مهم‌ترین ابزارهای درک جایگاه زنان در جامعه، آثار ادبی هستند. در دهۀ اخیر، به دلیل تحوّل در ساختار اجتماعی، فرهنگی و اقتصادی جوامع و بالا رفتن سطح آگاهی زنان، نویسندگان زن با دیدگاه انتقادی به بیان جایگاه و نقش اجتماعی زنان پرداختند و خواستار تغییر بنیادین در نگرش مردم و بازنگری در تفاسیر مردسالارنه از متون ادبی شده‌اند. زویا پیرزاد و قمر کیلانی از نویسندگانی هستند که با شناختی که از وضعیت زنان جامعه عصر خود دارند به نوشتن داستان‌هایی با محوریت زنان اقدام کرده‌اند. مقاله پیش رو با روش توصیفی تحلیلی و با تکیه بر مکتب آمریکایی ادبیات تطبیقی به تحلیل و مقایسۀ شخصیت زنان سنتی و مدرن در رمان‌های «الدوامة» اثر قمر کیلانی نویسندۀ معاصر سوری و «چراغ‌ها را من خاموش می‌کنم» اثر زویا پیرزاد می‌پردازد. آثار این دو نویسنده معاصر، تجلیگر رئالیسم و واقعگرایی آنان می‌باشد که بیانگر بسیاری از حوادث اجتماعی در دو جامعۀ سوری و ایرانی است. این دو نویسنده، شخصیت زنان سنتی را با ویژگی‌هایی چون خانه‌داری، انجام نقش‌های جنسیتی، انفعال در برابر نظام مردسالار و تابعیت از سنن مرسوم، ترسیم می‌کنند و در مقابل چهرۀ زنان مدرن آثارشان با اموری چون اشتغال، اثبات هویت زنانه و مبارزه با مردسالاری و زیر پا نهادن سنن و عرف مرسوم توصیف شده است.
