رویکرد کنشگری روشنفکر در «چشم‌هایش» و «دل کور» بر اساس نظریه کنش متقابل نمادین

هنجارها در موضع قدرت و خواهان پیروزی هستند و با ایجاد سلطه بر فکر، آدمی را به فرمانبرداری وا می‌دارند. روشنفکر بر خود می‌داند که در مقابل هنجارهای کج بایستد و برای تحقق شرایط مطلوب فکری بکوشد. در روش شناسی «کنش متقابل نمادین» هربرت بلومر آگاهی انسان به خویشتنِ خویش در دنیای تجربی جامعه به وجود می‌آید. در این رویکرد جامعه شناختی روشنفکر کنشگری است که کنش او بر اساس تفسیر در موقعیت های اجتماعی سیاسی روی می دهد و نقش او در دفاع یا نپذیرفتن هنجارها، جهت گیری می شود. رمان «چشم‌هایش» تصویری را از تاریخ پهلوی اول نشان می‌دهدکه در آن «خود جمعی»، آمیزه ای از خودی سنت گرا و متجدد است. منافع جمعی بر منافع فردی ترجیح دارد. روشنفکر فردی متجدد است و با مبارزه در برابر نظام اقتدارگرای سیاسی به کنشگری می پردازد. رمان «دل کور» روایتگر دوره پهلوی اول و دوم است. «خود جمعی» در این رمان، «خودی» منفعل و خشن است. در جهان رمان منافع فردی بر منافع جمعی ترجیح دارد. روشنفکر در رویارویی با «خود جمعی» بر اساس مهربانی و صلح طلبی کنشگری می کند.
