آیین پذیرایی از مهمان در شاهنامه فردوسی و اودیسه هومر

«شاهنامه» فردوسی و «اودیسه» هومر دو نمونه از کهن‌ترین و نام‌آورترین حماسه‌های جهان و نمایش‌گر بسیاری از آیین‌های ایرانیان و یونانیان باستان هستند. آیین پذیرایی و نکوداشت مهمان یکی از آیین‌هایی است که برگزاری شایسته و درست آن، در میان مردمان دو سرزمین بسیار مهم بوده است و اجرای مراحل مختلف آن چون استقبال، شستن دست‌ها، چیدن خوان، به گرمابه بردن، آماده کردن بستر، بدرقه و... با دقت و ظرافت صورت می‌گرفت. در «شاهنامه» مراحل مختلف پذیرایی از مهمان با خرده‌بینی، گستردگی و تشریفات بسیار برگزار می‌شود. در «شاهنامه» بسته به آنکه میزبان یا میهمان، پادشاه، شاهزاده یا پهلوان باشد، این آیین به گونه‌ای دیگر بر پا می‌شود. این آیین در نزد یونانیان حتی جنبه سپند و مینوی داشته و با اساطیر و باورهای کهن آنان در پیوند بوده است. در این جستار ما با یادکرد نمونه‌هایی از پنج داستان «شاهنامه» فردوسی(فریدون، منوچهر، سیاوش، رستم و سهراب، رستم و اسفندیار) و نمونه‌هایی از «اودیسه» به سنجش و بررسی چگونگی برگزاری این آیین در این دو اثر پرداخته‌ایم.

Tradition of Guests Reception in Shahnameh by Ferdowsi and Odyssey by Homer

Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh and Homer’s Odyssey are two samples of the world’s oldest and most famous epics and represent many of the ancient Iranian and Greek traditions. The guests’ reception is one of the rituals that has been very important among the people of two lands and its various stages such as welcoming, washing the hands, decorating (food) table, taking to the bathroom, preparing the bed, convoying and so on which were done with special care and delicacy. Various stages of entertaining and guests’ reception are held with a lot of optimism ceremonies widely in “Shahnameh”. In the mentioned book, depending on the host or guest, the king, the prince or the hero, this tradition is performed in a different way. According to the Greeks, this religion even had the aspect of Sepand and Minovi and was associated with their ancient myths and beliefs. This paper, reviewes examples from five stories in Shahnameh by Ferdowsi (Fereidoon, Manouchehr, Siavash, Rostam and Sohrab, Rostam and Esfandiar) and examples from Odyssey to check the tradition of guests’ serving.
