ارتباط بین مصرف مواد و جرم زیاد روشن نیست. اما تنوع رابطه بین این دو متغیر، به ترکیب خاصی از انواع مواد و انواع جرائم بستگی دارد. خیلی‌ها بر این باورند که مصرف مواد علت جرم است. استنباط نتایج این باور، این است، کاهش جرم از طریق کاهش دسترسی به مواد است. البته کاملاً مشخص نیست که ارتباطی بین این دو (مواد و جرم) وجود دارد. در این پژوهش با استفاده از روش توصیفی تحلیلی به رابطه بین مصرف مواد و جرم پرداخته شده است. اگر چه مطالعات بسیاری یک رابطه بین مصرف مواد و جرم را نشان می‌دهند، مطالعات دیگری هم این رابطه را نشان نمی‌دهند؛ همچنین تحقیقاتِ کمی در به تفاهم رساندن این یافته‌های متفاوت وجود دارد. این امکان دارد که مواد و جرم تحت شرایط معینی با هم رابطه داشته باشند و خارج از آن شرایط، این رابطه شاید وجود نداشته باشد. مصرف مواد و جرم ممکن است به طرق مختلفی با هم در ارتباط باشند. لذا مدل‌های علی متنوعی در زمینه ارتباط مواد جرم وجود دارد، که در این مقاله به آنها پرداخته شده است.

The Explanation Related to the Relationship between Drug Abuse and Crime

The relationship between drug abuse and crime is not very clear. But the variety of relationships between these two variables depends on the particular composite of drug and kinds of crimes, as well. Many believe that drug abuse is the cause of crimes. The perception of this belief is that crime reduction can be carried out through access reduction to drug. Of course, It is not clear that there is a relationship between these two (drug and crime). This research addresses the relationship between drug and crime using descriptiveanalytical method. Although a lot of studies show a relationship between drug and crime, other studies consider no relationship in this regard. Moreover, there are few studies on realizing these different findings. There is a possibility that drug and crime have interrelationship under certain conditions and there might not exist any relationship outside these conditions. Drug abuse and crime might have interrelationship in different ways. Therefore; there are various causative models pertaining the relationship between drug abuse and crime which this article will address.
