خوانش اکوفوبیک (بوم‌هراسانۀ) متون ادبی

اکوفوبیا (ecophobia) از رویکردهای مطرح و نوین در نقد بوم‏گرا و اخلاق زیست‏محیطی است. این اصطلاح را اولین‌بار سیمون استاک(simon c. estok)  در ارتباط با محیط‏زیست و به‌معنای «ترس و نفرت غیرمنطقی از طبیعت» مطرح کرد. در خوانش اکوفوبیک سوگیری‏های ناخواستۀ انسان نسبت به محیط‏زیست که مبتنی بر ترس و نفرت غیرمنطقی از مظاهر زیست‏محیطی شکل گرفته ‏است در آثار ادبی بررسی می‌شود. فرض اصلی این رویکرد این است که اکوفوبیا از دوگانۀ خود/ دیگری نشات می‏گیرد و درنهایت به‌نوعی بیگانه‏ستیزی در سایۀ ترسی غیرمنطقی از دیگری منجر می‏شود. درواقع طبیعت‏هراسی، زن‏ستیزی، نژادپرستی و گونه‏گرایی در بستری دگرهراسی روی می‏دهد و بسیاری از رفتارهای انسانی در مواجهه با طبیعت و دیگر انسان‏ها از هراس از دیگری ناشی می‏شود و این دگرهراسی به‌دنبال خود رفتارهای سلطه‏جویانه را نیز به‌همراه دارد. در این پژوهش ضمن معرفی بنیان‏های نظری این رویکرد، تلاش شده تا مولفه‌های اکوفوبیک موجود در آثار ادبی تبیین و روش و نحوۀ کاربست این نظریه در نقد آثار ادبی توضیح داده ‌شود. با این رویکرد می‏توان به خوانش جدیدی از آثار ادبی پرداخت و با واکاوی و بررسی نوع رابطۀ انسان با طبیعت در بستری اکوفوبیک و بیان ریشه‏های پیدایش این هراس‏ها به اصلاح این رابطه کوشید. برآیند این پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که در آثار ادبی با سه گونۀ متمایز از اکوفوبیا روبه‌رو هستیم که با به‌نمایش گذاشتن ترس‏های زیست‌محیطی مغفول ‏واقع‏ شده، نقش قابل‌توجهی در جهت تصحیح نوع رابطۀ انسان با محیط‏زیست ایفا می‏کنند و می‏توانند ما را نسبت به رفتارهایمان با زمین حساس سازند.

coined by simon c. estok, ecophobia is a prominent and new approach to ecocriticism and environmental ethics, mainly defined as irrational andgroundless hatred of the natural world. the ecophobic reading investigates unwanted human biases towards the environment based on irrational fearand hatred of bio-environmental manifestations in literary works. ecophobia originates from the duality of self/other, leading to xenophobia in theshadow of an irrational fear of the other. naturophobia, misogyny, racism, and speciesism occur in a context of xenophobia, and many human behaviors in the face of nature and other human beings arise from fear, andthis xenophobia leads to domineering behaviors. after presenting theoretical foundations, the study sought to explain the ecophobic components in literary works and how to apply ecophobia in literary criticism. ecophobia reads literary works anew, trying to improve this relationship by analyzing and examining the relationship between humans and nature in an ecophobic context and expressing the origins of these fears. the research result demonstrates that two distinct types of ecophobia in literary works can beidentified. by displaying neglected environmental fears, those works can play a significant role in correcting human relationships with the environment and making us sensitive to our behavior with the earth.
