ریشه‌یابی ماجرای خیاط یهودی و گوژپشت در داستان‌های هزارویک‌شب

یکی از بخش‌های داستان‌های هزارویک شب، ماجرای «خیاط یهودی و گوژپشت» است. در این بخش چنین نقل شده، که فردی یهودی از اینکه ناخواسته موجب مرگ یک گوژپشت شده، نگران شده و ترسیده است که اگر مسلمانان از کار او مطلع شوند، «نسل یهود را از زمین بردارند». در این فراز می‌توان به‌گونه‌ای «خشونت» را مشاهده کرد. این نوشتار در رویکردی تطبیقی، به‌دنبال ریشه‌یابی این عبارت، نسخه‌ها و ترجمه‌های متعدد داستان‌های هزارویک‌شب را تورق کرده و به این نتیجه رسیده که جملۀ مزبور در ریشۀ فارسی آن قبل از ترجمه به عربی وجود نداشته و هنگام برگردان مجدد آن از عربی به فارسی، به آن افزوده شده ‌است. زمانی که نسخۀ داستان‌های هزارویک‌شب در تسلط عرب بوده و هارون‌الرشید در آن تصرفاتی انجام داد، این جمله نیز دیر یا زود به آن افزوده شده ‌است؛ یعنی در نسخۀ اصلی آن، چنین جمله‌ای وجود نداشته‌ است.
