فرضیه در مطالعات ادبی

فرضیه سازی یکی از مراحل مهم تحقیق خوانده شده است؛ ولی به نظر می رسد در مطالعات ادبی نقش چندانی در فرایند تحقیق ندارد. در مقاله حاضر، با بررسی جایگاه و مفهوم فرضیه، به این سوال ها پاسخ داده شده است: مشکل فرضیه پردازی در مطالعات ادبی چیست؟ چه رابطه ای میان نظریه ادبی و فرضیه برقرار است؟ در چه شرایطی می توان نوعی از فرضیه را برای این مطالعات تصور کرد؟ به نظر می رسد عینی نبودن مسائل ادبی از مهم ترین عوامل ناکارآمدی فرضیه در این مطالعات است. همچنین، تفاوتی روش شناختی میان مفهوم نظریه ادبی و نظریه در روش های تجربی موجب شده تا فرضیه های ادبی فاقد ویژگی هایی همچون آزمون پذیری باشد. به عبارت دیگر، ابتنای پژوهش و نظریه ادبی بر خوانش متن، فرضیه پردازی را کاری بی فایده و گاه ناممکن کرده است. تکیه بر خوانش موجب می شود تا مطالعات ادبی با دوری از عینیت درپی یافته هایی ذهنی باشند که رد و پذیرش فرضیه را ناممکن می سازند. کارآمدی فرضیه در مطالعات تجربی ادبیات می تواند موید این ویژگی مهم باشد. در پایان نیز پیشنهادی برای معرفی فرضیه هایی منطبق بر ویژگی های روش شناختی مطالعات ادبی داده شده است.

Hypothesis in the Literary Researches

One of the steps of a research is hypothesizing that have been argued about its necessity and method in humanities. With investigating literary studies, it may be said that hypotheses haven rsquo;t any function in the research process. Critiquing the position and concept of hypotheses in literary researches, in this paper, we trace answers to these questions: why don rsquo;t hypotheses have any function in solving literary problems? Can we define a type of the hypotheses for these studies? There is a methodological difference between the concept of literary theory and theory in empirical methods. This different cause hypothesis in literary researches to lacks some properties such as Testability. In other words, due to dependence of literary researches and theories on reading, hypothesizing in literary studies is a useless and, sometimes, impossible task. Considering the implicit hypotheses instead of explicit and conventional one, maybe, we can produce a difference treatment of hypotheses for literary studies. Implicit hypotheses are not presented in the shape of a sentence, relate to step of text selecting and knot at the whole of research process.
