this study entitled ldquo;the features of sity in the novels of ghada al-saman and ghazaleh alizadeh: a comparative study rdquo; is concerned with the novels of two iranian and arab writers, ghazaleh alizadeh and ghada al-saman, using a comparative research methodology.
the study includes all of ghada al-saman rsquo;s novels, namely: ldquo;beirut 75 rdquo;, ldquo;beirut nightmares rdquo;, ldquo;the eve of billion rdquo;, ldquo;the impossible novel - damascene mosaic rdquo;, ldquo;a costume party for the dead rdquo;, as it discusses all of ghazaleh alizadeh rsquo;s novels, namely: ldquo;two views rdquo;, ldquo;idriss house rdquo;, and ldquo;tehran nights rdquo;.
this comparative study uses the methods of the american school, which focus on points of similarity and difference between literary works. this school also concentrate on the literary text, after it has been neglected in the rush for research on historical links between literatures.
