امکان زندگی معنادار در یک جهان موجبیتی با انبساط فزاینده کیهانی

پرسش اصلی مقاله حاضر این است که آیا این ادعای طبیعت‌گرایان موجه است که بحث از «امکان‌ معناداربودن زندگی» وابسته به دستاورد‌های علمی، به‌ویژه فیزیک مدرن است. در این راستا ابتدا دو مفهوم از یکدیگر متمایز می‌شوند: یکی «معنای زندگیِ نوع (یا گونه) انسان» در جهان (به ‌اختصار «معنای زندگی») و دیگری «معنا در زندگی یک انسان مشخص». (به ‌اختصار «معنا در زندگی). سپس بر اساس دو مفهوم مزبور، دو چالش متناظر، که طبیعت‌گرایان برای هدفمندی جهان و نیز معناداری حیات و زندگی انسان مطرح کرده‌اند، مورد شرح و بررسی قرار می‌گیرد: مسئله اول مرتبط با یافته‌‌ها و مدل‌های کیهان‌شناسی مدرن در خصوص سرگذشت و سرنوشت جهان و نیز تصویر آن از جایگاه فضا زمانی انسان در جهان فیزیکی و مسئله دوم مرتبط با مناقشه موجبیت‌گرایی/ ناموجبیت‌گرایی در فیزیک، به‌ویژه مکانیک کوانتمی است. در این مقاله، ادعای طبیعت‌گرایان مبنی بر نفی معنای زندگی (مفهوم اول)، به تفصیل مورد بررسی و نقد قرار می‌گیرد سپس نشان داده می‌شود که برخلاف ادعای طبیعت‌گرایان، دفاع از امکان‌پذیری معنا در زندگی (مفهوم دوم) به‌هیچ‌وجه مستلزم پیروی از تعبیر ناموجبیت‌گرایانه مکانیک کوانتمی و تعمیم آن به جهان ماکروسکپی نیست. در ادامه نیز ضمن نقد و طرد رهیافت‌های سلبی به مسئله معنا در زندگی در جهان موجبیتی، رهیافت‌های ایجابی برای دفاع از امکان معنا در زندگی در جهان موجبیتی مورد شرح و بررسی قرار می‌گیرند.

the possibility of meaningful life in an accelerating deterministic universe

i formulate my research question as &is the claim of naturalists justified that the discussion of the &possibility of meaningful life& is dependent on scientific achievements, especially modern physics?&. in this regard, two concepts are distinguished from each other: one is &the meaning of the life of humans (homo sapiens)& in the universe (in short, &the meaning of life&) and the other is &meaning in the life of any specific human& (in short, &meaning in life&). then, based on the two mentioned concepts, the two corresponding challenges, which the naturalists have raised for the purposefulness of the world and the meaning of human life, are described and investigated: the first issue is related to the findings and models of modern cosmology regarding the history and destiny of the universe, and the second issue is related to the determinism/indeterminism controversy in physics, especially quantum mechanics. in this article, the claim of naturalists to deny the possiility of meaning of life (the first concept) is examined and criticized in detail, then it is shown that, contrary to the claim of naturalists, the defense of the possibility of meaning in life (the second concept) in no way requires the indeterministic interpretation of quantum mechanics and its extension to the macroscopic world. while criticizing and rejecting negative approaches to the issue of meaning in life in the deterministic world, positive approaches in this regard are described and examined.
