Career choice of medical graduates is dependent on a number of factors as identified in literature across the globe. this article presents an overview of contemporary research on career choices of medical graduates and the generalisation of findings in pakistan. a number of issues are highlighted which include lack of standardised instruments,classification of specialties and mixed evidence regarding variables and socio cultural differences. © 2016,professional medical publications. all rights reserved.
